| Welcome |
Welcome to Relay For Life Ascot! This will be the third year we have organised this amazing event and each year we get bigger and better - 2010 will be no exception! Many of the organising committee are cancer survivors and we are all dedicated to this event. We have room for people on the organising committee as our event grows - so please give Rose Dalton 01344 883564 a call if you are interested in getting involved. Last year 42 teams and 76 survivors took part - we raised a staggering £118,967 for the vital work of Cancer Research UK. Register now for this amazing event. |

As soon as you have registered we will invite you to monthly Team Captains meetings and send you a monthly newsletter with lots of information and ideas about how you can raise funds as a team. You will also be able to meet the committee and other Teams so that by the Relay weekend you will feel like a huge group of friends coming together for this memorable 24 hours. |

Survivors lap of honour
The Opening Lap of Honour will be led round by the fabulous Reading Scottish Pipe band after an opening ceremony featuring Fiona Castle (widow of the late Roy Castle) and TV Presenter and cancer survivor Nicholas Owen, who will join other cancer survivors in walking the lap. Afterwards survivors will share a celebration buffet.

Candle of Hope
Our Candle of Hope ceremony is moving and inspirational and we plan an uplifting ceremony of words and music as we line the track with up to a thousand dedicated Candles of Hope.

Entertainment and activities
The Silver Ring at Ascot is used only twice a year - for Royal Ascot Week Races and Relay for Life Ascot - the ambience is amazing with the impressive backdrop of the Grandstand and rolling countryside. There is something very special about relaying in this world famous venue.
